Welcome to our vinyl decal installation guide! Follow these simple steps to achieve a professional finish on any smooth surface.
Vinyl decal
Masking tape
Squeegee or credit card
Cleaning solution (rubbing alcohol recommended)
Soft cloth or paper towel
Before applying your vinyl decal, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants. Use a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the area. Allow it to dry completely.
Carefully position the decal on the desired surface. Use small pieces of masking tape to hold it in place. Make sure it's aligned correctly, as this will be its final position.
Once you're satisfied with the placement, create a hinge by placing a strip of masking tape along one edge of the decal. Lift the decal and peel off the backing paper, starting from the hinge side. Be careful not to touch the adhesive side of the decal.
As you lay the decal down, use a squeegee or a credit card to smooth it onto the surface. Start from the center and work your way outwards, pressing firmly to remove any air bubbles or wrinkles.
After the decal is securely in place, slowly peel off the transfer tape, starting from one corner and pulling at a sharp angle. If any part of the decal lifts with the tape, press it back down with the squeegee.
Inspect the decal for any remaining air bubbles. If you find any, gently press them out towards the edges with the squeegee. For stubborn bubbles, use a pin to puncture them and then smooth out the area.
Congratulations! You've successfully installed your vinyl decal. Enjoy your new look!
